Ncuti Gatwa has made the cut for Time's Top 100 Next list among a heap of other stars. Gatwa, who is best known for his role as Eric Effiong in the hit Netflix show Sex Education, is gearing up to replace Jodie Whitaker in Doctor Who next year.
The Scots Rwandan actor is set to take over as the Time Lord on the BBC sci-fi show, a role which has been held previously held by David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi and Christopher Eccleston.
The Time Top 100 Next list recognises 100 rising stars from across industries and around the world. Alongside Ncuti, the list was filled with a slew of other big names including Stranger Things star Sadie Sink, Bridgerton actress Simone Ashley and Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney.
The 29-year-old, who studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, shared the exciting news on social media. Ncuti wrote: "Thank you @time for this incredible honour.
