Festive cheer is descending upon the city once more as the Christmas Markets return to Manchester. In a few days’ time the city centre will be transformed as more than 200 huts strewn with garlands and twinkling lights fill various squares and streets.
Visitors will be able to browse stalls selling handmade gifts and items, as well as tucking into tasty treats including warming mugs of mulled wine, juicy German sausages and an assortment of sweet delights.
There will be a mix of regular and new traders at the markets this year, with popular stalls such as Porkys of Yarm, Windmill and The Pancake House all returning.
Market stalls will be found at several locations across the city centre this year. Piccadilly Gardens will serve as the main hub, renamed “Winter Gardens”.
