Passengers travelling on trains through Stockport will face disruption until the end of the day. Services through the station will either be cancelled, delayed or diverted, according to National Rail.
This is because of a points failure issue. Urgent repairs will be carried out on the track with the disruption expected to last all day on Friday (August 5).

Tickets are being accepted on alternative services. A statement on the National Rail website said: "A points failure at Stockport is causing disruption to journeys through the station.
