The Australian gossip site Poptopic recently said that Depp was in talks to return to the franchise and negotiating a $301 million deal with Disney, but his reps squashed that rumor in a statement to Fox News.

During the trial, Depp had indicated he would never return to the franchise.“If Disney came to you with $300 million and a million alpacas, nothing on this Earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film, correct?” asked Heard’s lawyer, Ben Rottenborn, during a cross-examination“That is true,” Depp replied.
