John Christopher Depp II (born June 9, 1963) is an American actor, singer, producer, and musician. He has been nominated for ten Golden Globe Awards, winning one for Best Actor for his performance of the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008), and has been nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Actor, among other accolades. He is regarded as one of the world's biggest film stars. Depp made his film debut in the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street, before rising to prominence as a teen idol on the television series 21 Jump Street (1987–1990). He had a supporting role in Oliver Stone's 1986 war film Platoon and played the title character in the 1990 romantic fantasy Edward Scissorhands.

Disneyland's 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Ride Reopens with Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow Intact

Johnny Depp‘s fans will be happy to know that his Captain Jack Sparrow likeness is still intact on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Disneyland.

The ride has been closed for refurbishment since March 14 and it was unclear whether Captain Jack would remain a part of the ride.

After Depp won his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard, it seems Disney decided not to make any changes to his character’s involvement in the ride. Click inside for more details… Deadline reports that the ride reopened on Friday (July 1) and “fans were there en masse to experience the revamp.” The ride had to be closed multiple times during the day, but one reason for the closures was to create a better crowd flow around the attraction due to the high demand. Johnny‘s trial is now being compared to another celeb’s legal battle.
