Disney+ suffers epic fail as they try to edit Daryl Hannah's bum out of Splash

Disney+ suffered an unfortunate blunder when they tried to censor Splash. The 1984 romantic comedy stars Tom Hanks as Allen Bauer, who meets and falls in love with mermaid Madison, played by Daryl Hannah.

In the scene where they first meet as adults, Madison is completely naked and her bum is visible after she kisses Allen on the lips then runs into the sea.

It seems the streaming platform tried to make the moment a bit more family-friendly by editing Daryl's bum out with CGI. But it failed miserably, as fans spotted it straight away.

Despite Daryl's bum only being briefly visible, the version released on the platform sees her bottom completely covered the entire time by a thick mop of very obvious fake hair.
