An Ayrshire nursing home is at the centre of fresh criticism over its standards of care.Last month, Ayrshire Live told how Ainslie Manor Care Home came under fire from the Care Inspectorate in relation to aspects of its care provision – and for using ‘unsafe’ recruitment practices.The nursing home, in Girvan’s Stranraer Road, was graded ‘weak’ across three quality indicators, the second-lowest grading possible and ‘adequate’ across two others.The report was published on May 24 and covered visits on May 9 and May 10.Now bosses are facing criticism from a woman whose partner of 25 years died there before the May inspections.John Ward died at Ainslie Manor Nursing Home after a battle with early onset dementia.Mr Ward, a father of two and a grandfather to six, moved there in January 2022.
