Director Jon M. Chu Provides Update on Britney Spears Biopic, Addresses Rumor She's Starring in Another Movie

Jon M. Chu provided an update on the Britney Spears biopic. Back in August, we learned that a movie was in the works based on the Princess of Pop’s memoir “The Woman in Me.” Jon is working with Britney on developing it and will serve as the director.

Since then we haven’t gotten many updates about the project. However, Britney sparked rumors that she was also collaborating with Jon on a film rendition of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

During a recent interview, Jon revealed where the biopic stood and addressed the casting rumor. Keep reading to find out more… “I cannot talk much about the Britney story other than I have been a Britney fan for many years,” Jon told The Hollywood Reporter.

He continued, saying, “She represents a generation of people growing up in the 2000s and late ’90s, and she has a story that deserves to be told properly.
