Rap star Shock G has passed away at the age of 57. The musician's death follows the sad passing of fellow rap stars DMX and Black Rob earlier this month.
TMZ has reported that the rap legend's father, Edward Racker, said his son was found dead in a hotel room in Tampa on Thursday.
The cause of death is currently unknown. Shock G, real name Greg Jacobs, was best known for being part of Digital Underground.
He was the lead singer for the pioneering hip hop group Shock G, who also used the alter ego Humpty Hump, was a rapper and keyboardist who was responsible for a number of influential tracks.
