Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Diego Laxalt permanent Celtic transfer stance revealed as left-back 'offered' megabucks Middle East move

Diego Laxalt has reportedly turned down a big money move to the Middle East as he gives priority to a permanent Parkhead deal.

The Uruguay international joined the Premiership champions on loan from Milan in the summer but there was no option to buy included in the deal.

Laxalt has established himself as a key part of Neil Lennon's side and talk has surfaced of a permanent deal. The left-back is in Dubai with the rest of the squad and Gianluca Di Marzio reports that he's caught the eye of Saudi side Al-Hilal.

The transfer market expert believes that Laxalt was offered a three year contract worth around €3million (£2.7m) net per season.However, the player rejected that offer as he wants to continue his career in Europe.
