It wouldn’t be a stretch to suggest he resembled his spry, cane-toting “Mary Poppins” character, Mr. Dawes Senior and Junior, whom he played, respectively, in the 1964 classic musical and its 2018 film sequel, “Mary Poppins Returns.”Silver — who the married actor in 2012 — wore a charcoal gray shirt with the word “Happy” written on it, plus matching dark pants and shoes.
The happy couple was spotted browsing the store’s vast selection of TVs before selecting a Vizio model, which Van Dyke gladly helped steady as his wife pushed the cart.
Silver, 51, and her husband were then seen playing with a paper windmill as they stood in the checkout line. As the couple departed the store, makeup artist Silver managed to squeeze the appliance into the back seat of the car while Van Dyke waited patiently for her to finish before sliding into the vehicle’s passenger side.The Post has reached out to Van Dyke for comment.
