Music icon Diana Ross will release her first album in almost two decades. Ross, 77, said to be the most successful female artist ever, has signed a deal with Decca Records.
Ross, who was to headline Glastonbury this year, said: “I dedicate this songbook of love to all of you, the listeners.” Her new single Thank You is said to echo the themes of the album, also called Thank You.
Ross rose to fame as the lead singer of the Supremes, which became Motown’s most successful band during the 60s. After going solo her success continued with hits such as Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.
