Dexter: Original Sin Season 1 has come to an end this weekend. The Paramount+ TV show follows Dexter‘s titular character in his youth (played by Patrick Gibson), from his first kill to his early days with the Miami Metro Police, trying to find a balance between following the rules that his father Harry (Christian Slater) has set out for him and satisfying his killer urges.

Of course, fans are eager to know if the prequel series will be extending into another season. Keep reading to find out more… As of right now, Dexter: Original Sin has not yet been renewed for Season 2. Showrunner Clyde Phillips has already expressed an interest in making another season, as has Patrick Gibson, who said he’d be “so lucky” to return if he could, via Yahoo UK. “I would love to.

I had such a great time doing this and everybody involved is so incredible, to have Clyde, the original showrunner, involved and still doing it, and the cast was also great that I would feel so, so lucky to come back again,” he said. “Something that I’d like to see… well, this series feels kind of like a pilot series, a lot of stuff is getting set up and he’s learning from the very beginning of his first kill.

And so I’m curious to see him start to become a little bit more confident with his methods [and] take bigger swings, but that also might come with harder lessons.
