Clyde Phillips, the returning showrunner for the reboot of Dexter, is opening up about how the new season will be different than what fans have seen in the past.
In the series finale, Michael C. Hall‘s titular character faked his own death and went into exile in the middle of nowhere. “We basically do get to start from scratch,” Clyde told THR. “We want this to not be Dexter season nine.
Ten years, or however many years, have passed by the time this will air, and the show will reflect that time passage. So far as the ending of the show, this will have no resemblance to how the original finale was.
