A devastated Dumfries man has told of his disgust after discovering his relative’s grave was one of those torched at Troqueer Cemetery.Fire broke out in a hedge over the weekend of April 25 and 26 and rapidly spread to several graves, burning the grass up to a number of headstones and destroying flower pots and tributes.Jason Landsborough, 47, was horrified to learn that his grandparents’ grave was among those struck by the flames.He said: “It’s disgusting.

People who want to pay their respects and put flowers down cannot do that now with the damage that has been done to these graves.“And it will take a while before it is repaired.”He declined to name his relatives for fear of any reprisals but added: “I used to live in Troqueer and a few
