Police investigating the death of a dad from Wigan have arrested a fifth person. Liam Smith's body was discovered in Kilburn Drive, Shevington, on the evening of November 24 last year.
He died after allegedly being subjected to 'a fatal gunshot wound and an acid attack', according to Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
This morning (Tuesday 21 February) a 38 year-old woman was arrested in York, on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. She is the fifth person to be arrested in connection with Mr Smith's death and remains in custody for questioning. A three-week trial has been scheduled for July. Three other men - aged 22, 25, and 35 - have also been arrested. They have all been released on bail.
