Detectives are continuing to investigate a man in connection with the death of a young woman in Prestwich. Police launched a murder investigation after Kimberley McAssey, 29, was found unresponsive at a property in Sherbourne Court on February 21, 2021.
A coroner has previously heard that Ms McAssey was found dead in bed at a man’s house after they spent the evening together.
The man 'identified the body to police officers'. Following Ms McAssey's death, police said they had arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
More than 18 months on, Greater Manchester Police confirmed the man is still under investigation, but remains on bail.
