The parents of a former Marine murdered on a tropical island have put up a £10,000 reward to find his killer on the 10th anniversary of his death.Carl Davies, 33, was discovered slumped in an open drain in Saint-Denis, the capital of the French territory of La Reunion in the Indian Ocean.He had been battered over the head with a screwdriver after a night out with workmates from a ship he was guarding.Islander Vincent Madouré was jailed for 15 years in 2017 over the killing but was acquitted on appeal two years later.Carl’s family are convinced the killer’s identity is widely known but locals are too scared to talk.
