It’s been three years since the cast of Derry Girls were on set together creating one of the world’s favourite comfort comedy shows.
Production for the hotly-anticipated third season has been constantly delayed as the show is filmed on location in Derry City.
However, it looks like we’ll finally be heading back to the nineties very soon. Ian McElhinney, who plays Granda Joe on the Channel 4 series, has revealed that filming kicks off at the end of September.
We’re already counting down the days down on a calendar! The actor told The Belfast Telegraph that the team hopes to complete filming of the series in time for Christmas and plan to have the third series on our tellies in Spring 2022.
