Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher has defended Connor Goldson and referee Steven McLean after the Rangers stopper survived a handball claim in the box against him during the clash with Celtic.
Gallagher put the flashpoint in focus after Michael Beale's side ran out 3-0 winners at Ibrox, with some Celtic fans believing a penalty should have been awarded when the ball appeared to flick off Rangers defender Goldson's hand as the first 45 came to its conclusion after a cross into the box.

VAR backed up the official on the pitch and Gallagher insisted there was no reason for interference - as he pointed to the reaction of the Hoops players.
