Derek Jeter was joined by his family while being inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame!
The 48-year-old former baseball player gave a speech on the field at Yankee Stadium on Friday night (September 9) in New York City. Derek had the support of his wife Hannah Jeter and their three daughters – Bella Raine, 5, Story Grey, 3, and River Rose, 9 months. “I’m so gracious that I’ve had an opportunity to spend 23 years of professional baseball — all with one organization.
I am appreciative that I had an opportunity to play with so many great players, coaches and managers. The guys that are here today and the ones who were unable to make it,” he said about playing for the Yankees. “As all you guys know, I was born in New Jersey.
I grew up in Kalamazoo. I live now down in Miami. But, right here, in front of you, with you, is where I really feel like I’m at home,” Jeter told the crowd. “It feels good to be back.
