Derek Jacobi & Laura Whitmore Join Interactive Feature ‘Hello Stranger’
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Derek Jacobi (Gladiator) and Laura Whitmore (Queenie) are among the latest names to sign on to star in writer-director Paul Raschid’s latest interactive project Hello Stranger.
Jacobi and Whitmore are joined by Yasmin Finney (Heartstopper) and Kulvinder Ghir (Goodness Gracious Me). The cast already announced includes George Blagden, Danny Griffin, and Christina Wolfe.
Hello Stranger follows Cam, a techno-hermit who conducts life from his electronically automated smart home. The Synopsis reads: Cam interacts with strangers on the platform Hello Stranger: a randomised video chatting website.
Eventually, he encounters a masked stranger with an altered voice. Unnerved, Cam leaves the call only to find the stranger has hacked his smart-home and locked him in.
