Denzel Washington & Jake Gyllenhaal Kick Off 'Othello' Broadway Run, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Scherzinger & More Stars Attend!

The 70-year-old actor stars as the titular character Othello, while the 44-year-old actor stars as Iago in this new version of the William Shakespeare play.
In the show, which is open for a limited 15-week run, “Spurned for promotion, Iago’s relentless quest for vengeance against Othello and his wife, Desdemona, plunges them into a shocking web of deception and betrayal.” Several celebrities were in attendance at opening night, including former President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, Jennifer Lopez and child Emme, Katie Holmes, Anna Wintour, Colman Domingo, Rosie Perez, former White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Sherri Shepherd, Nicole Scherzinger, Al Roker, Cynthia Nixon, Jamie Lee Curtis, Angela Bassett, Spike Lee, Ariana DeBose, Samuel L Jackson, Martha Stewart, Liev Schreiber and Taylor Neisen, Gayle King and Jennifer Nettles.
