A dentist who spent three weeks in intensive care after contracting Covid-19 has spoken of his continuing battle for recovery - five months later.Dr Tony Jacobs, 64, a co-owner of 406 Dental in Prestwich, was placed on a ventilator and in an induced coma after suffering breathing difficulties when he fell ill in March.He is still recuperating from his ordeal after suffering a condition common among severely ill patients, which involves numbness in the legs and feet.He has now written to his patients to tell them of his plight - and explain his continued absence from the practice.He wrote: "As you will know I unfortunately had the Covid virus starting early March, I was very ill, I am still unsure when I will return to work but I am planning.
