msn.comDennis Quaid has done his bit for the animals by adopting a cat who shares the same name as him. The rescue cat was living at Lynchburg Humane Society in Virginia when he saw the six-year-old pet feature in a 'clear the shelters' campaign on local TV."I just couldn’t resist.

"I’m out to save all the Dennis Quaids of the world.""Maybe they should start naming animals in shelters after different celebrities and see who bites," he added.At first staff at the shelter didn't believe the Parent Trap star was really reaching out to take on the black cat, the station reported.Meanwhile, 66-year-old Quaid has recently started an animal-focused podcast, The Pet Show.His co-host Jimmy.
