mirror.co.ukArsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp insists that attempts to buy the club from owner Stan Kroenke are not over and pledged that the takeover group are here to stay.
The Dutchman netted 120 goals for the Gunners across a trophy-laden 11-season spell at the club and is part of a group, led by Spotify owner Daniel Ek, hopeful of buying the club.
Bergkamp was joined by former teammates Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira in the group of former players who supported Ek’s first bid for the club, reported to be close to the €2billion mark.
The Kroenke family rejected the approach, but Bergkamp has claimed that the group will not be detracted as they are intent in their bid to help ‘restore’ the club’s ‘DNA’.
