Queen Margrethe of Denmark has issued a new, huge statement over the decision to strip several of her grandchildren of their royal titles.
In the original announcement, the 82-year-old reigning monarch made the decision to strip the “His/Her Highness” titles, as well as their Prince and Princess titles for Princes Nikolai, 23, Felix, 20, and Henrik, 13, and Princess Athena, 10, who are all children of her second son, Prince Joachim.
The Queen revealed why her decision was made in another interview, before Prince Joachim expressed his disappointment over it.
