Denise van Outen was very, very excited when she was invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace for young Brits. She was 23 at the time and working as a presenter on The Big Breakfast, so couldn't wait to rub shoulders with the royals.
But while she was there she decided to take a few items as mementos from the day - and it ended up getting her in a spot of trouble.
During her visit she pocketed an ashtray and a tissue box holder - which she had to send back when they found out. She posted them back to the Palace with a note reading: I am really sorry, it was just a bit of fun".
