EXCLUSIVE: Westworld alums Denise Thé and Desa Larkin-Boutté are reteaming to work on The Getaway, the series adaptation of Lamar Giles‘ YA novel, produced by Don Cheadle, which is in development at Sony Pictures TV.
Thé has been tapped to pen the series adaptation and produce via her Third Rail Productions as part of her deal with Sony Pictures Television, and Larkin-Boutté has been brought on to co-write.
The near-future horror drama contemplates what would happen if the world fell into chaos, and you and your family were stuck working at one of the world’s most famous resorts – with some of the world’s richest and most powerful as guests.
Unknown to employees, the resort has been selling shares in an end-of-the-world oasis, to have the best of the best at the end of days.
