Demi Lovato makes a stylish appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing on Thursday, March 5.

The 27-year-old singer is opening up about her brand new music and looking back at her relapse in sobriety. “I first got sober when I was 19, which was an age that I wasn’t supposed to be drinking at all,” Demi shared during her appearance. “I got the help I needed at the time and I took a ‘one size fits all’ approach and that was just sobriety.” She continues that her approach worked for a long time, but when you add in an eating disorder, it gets more complicated. “It led me to being really, really unhappy…I asked for help, but didn’t get the help that I needed,” Demi adds. “I was six years sober, but I was miserable.
