Steph McGovern has spoken out to dismiss speculation her new Channel 4 series is facing the axe after bringing in dismal viewing figures.

The telly presenter launched Steph's Packed Lunch initially launched during lockdown from her home, but was taken off air until it could be made in a studio.

It returned to TV last month, but The Mirror revealed the show registered zero viewers at 12.56pm on Tuesday 22 September in official Barb ratings.

It was up against ITV’s Loose Women, which peaked at a million viewers on the same day. The figures sparked speculation Channel 4 bosses may bring the curtain down on the show early, with bookies slashing odds on the show being off air by Christmas.
