Debra Messing has an idea on how a Will & Grace reboot “could possibly work” in the potential third incarnation of the NBC sitcom.

While appearing on CBS Mornings, Messing was asked if she would participate in a new version of the show where she played interior designer Grace Adler across 11 seasons. “I feel like the only thing that could possibly work is if in 20, 30 years, we do a Golden Girls where they’re all living in Boca [Ratón, Florida] in caftans,” Messing said on the morning show.

Messing says she could only revisit the Will & Grace universe if the characters were older and added, “anything before that … we’ve told the story.” Will & Grace is a sitcom created by David Kohan and Max Mutchnick that launched on CBS in 1998.

The show revolved around best friends Will (Eric McCormack), a lawyer who identified as gay, and Grace (Messing), an interior designer who identified as straight.
