The fundraiser set up by Deborah James in support of cancer research in the UK has hit the £4 million mark after just four days.

Deborah, 40, surpassed her original goal of £250,000 in donations soon after creating the Bowel Babe Fund when she announced she has devastatingly been moved to end of life care while suffering from stage four bowel cancer.

Having received support on her Just Giving page from over 250,000 supporters so far, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the BBC podcaster looks set to reach near her new target of “£5 million by the weekend”.

Deborah’s heroic fundraising efforts come as doctors have heartbreakingly said they do not know how much time she has left. Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter.
