Players control a character named Sam Bridges (portrayed in the game by Norman Reedus), who is tasked with delivering supplies to a series of isolated communities and trying to reconnect them through a wireless communications network.
The game also features the likeness and voices of a number of other established actors, with Mads Mikkelsen (Clifford Unger), Lea Seydoux (Fragile), Margaret Qualley (Mama) and director Guillermo del Toro (Deadman).
