Death Stranding video game gets new film adaptation from creator Hideo Kojima's Kojima Productions

The beloved 2019 video game Death Stranding is heading to the big screen with a new adaptation.Death Stranding's iconic creator - Hideo Kojima - and his Kojima Productions banner is teaming with Alex Lebovici’s Hammerstone Studios to produce the film, via Variety.It will be the first video game movie adaptation to come out of Kojima Productions, and it is said to introduce new characters into this world as well.

Players control a character named Sam Bridges (portrayed in the game by Norman Reedus), who is tasked with delivering supplies to a series of isolated communities and trying to reconnect them through a wireless communications network.

The game also features the likeness and voices of a number of other established actors, with Mads Mikkelsen (Clifford Unger), Lea Seydoux (Fragile), Margaret Qualley (Mama) and director Guillermo del Toro (Deadman).
