Channel 4 has given us a sneak peek at the second series of its crime drama, Suspect.The eight-part series originally centred on veteran detective Danny Frater (James Nesbitt), who was determined to uncover the truth about his daughter's death.
While James Nesbitt won't be returning for the new series, the focus will shift to his character's ex-wife and mother of their daughter, Dr Susannah Newman (Anne-Marie Duff).
Picking up where the last season left off, Susannah is on a mission to discover what really happened to Christina (Imogen King).The eight-part drama will also introduce some fresh faces, including Death in Paradise star Ben Miller as Detective Superintendent Richard Groves.Tamsin Greig, Eddie Marsan, Vignette Robinson and Celine Buckens are all set to star in the upcoming series.
The synopsis for the new series teases that another life is in danger as Susannah tries to prevent another tragedy.This comes after a mysterious new client, Jon (Dominic Cooper), makes a disturbing confession under hypnosis.
