Fresh from his exit in Death in Paradise, much-loved star Tahj Miles has landed a huge new rule in an upcoming BBC drama.The 22 year old star is best known to fans for playing Officer Marlon Pryce in the Caribbean detective series, but in this new role, Tahj will be taking on a mysterious new character named Daniel in a production of Mr Loverman.
Based on Booker prize-winning author Bernardine Evaristo's novel, Mr Loverman follows Barrington Jedidiah Walker, a 74-year-old man who is forced to hide his steamy affair with his best friend and soulmate, Morris, from his wife of 50 years, Carmel.
In the show, Tahj’s character is the grandson of Barrington and Carmel and will find himself embroiled in the secrecy and intrigue surrounding his grandfather’s illicit affair.
Described as a "ground-breaking exploration of Britain’s older Caribbean community," by show bosses, Mr Loverman is a life-affirming story about family, love, and being true to yourself.
