ok.co.ukTV legend Don Gilet is set to spice things up in the Death in Paradise cast, with the seasoned actor, known for his role as the menacing Lucas Johnson in EastEnders, stepping onto the sandy shores for the show's Christmas special.
At 57, Don's career is a rich tapestry of roles, from Holby City’s halls to the eerie setting of The Loch, and even a venture into time and space with Doctor Who.
He's no stranger to the Caribbean mystery series either, having appeared in a guest slot back in 2015. As he prepares to take on the role of Detective Inspector Mervin Wilson, Don couldn't hide his enthusiasm, sharing with the Mirror: "This is a big show, with a big heart and the love continually grows for it.
It is my intention to never lose sight of that and to remain grateful, humbled and dedicated." Born in 1967 and hailing from Walsall, West Midlands, Don was bitten by the acting bug early on and honed his skills at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
