Kris Marshall, who starred in Death in Paradise, has spoken up about the cancellation of an ITV drama he starred in. The 50 year old actor starred in ITV's Sanditon, based on an unfinished Jane Austen novel, after making a name for himself in BBC's Death in Paradise.
Unfortunately, Sanditon didn't impress viewers and it was cancelled after just one series. However, despite its less than impressive viewership the first time around, the show got a second chance in 2022.
During an interview with Radio Times, Kris spoke about the unique situation of the show and admitted that it was new for him.
He said: "It is the first show I've been on that has been cancelled, then reinstated." Fans of Sanditon in the United States had a big role to play in bringing the show back on screen, organising an impressive campaign to ensure its return, reports the Mirror.
