Death in Paradise fans have spotted a link between the show's new detective, Don Gilet, and Midsomer Murders actor Neil Dudgeon.
Earlier this year, it was announced that the former EastEnders baddie would be taking over from Ralf Little as the new Detective Inspector on the island of Saint Marie.
However, eagle-eyed viewers have recognised Don from another crime drama, where he starred alongside Neil in an episode of Midsomer Murders.
The actor made a guest appearance in The Lions of Causton, the fourth episode of the 12th series of the ITV show. In the episode, Don portrayed Bill Viner, a character whose career, according to IMBD, "was ruined by Mark Adler (played by Nicholas Goh), when Mark fatally injured him in his knees after Bill got accepted into another team.
