I’ve probably seen ‘The Princess Bride’ 17 times,” Beane, 27, told The Post. “It was so interesting because so many times, it was like life imitating art.
During the pilot, I was feeling overwhelmed … the weight of this show was on my back. I was like, ‘I need advice, how do you deal with all of this?’ “And he sat me down and gave me advice.
It was sweet. It was like he’s mentoring me, similar to [our characters] Rufus and Imogene.” Created by Mike Weiss (“The Mentalist”) and Heidi Cole McAdams (“Stumptown”), “Death and Other Details,” now streaming, is a murder mystery series following Imogene Scott (Beane), who meets renowned detective Rufus Cotesworth (Patinkin) as a child, when he’s investigating her mother’s death.
