Per Disney, the Marvel Studios film pulled in 19.4 million views globally (view is defined as total stream time divided by runtime) after six days of streaming, with the film becoming available on Disney+ on Nov.
12. That makes it the most-watched live action film across Disney+ or Hulu since the streaming release of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” in early 2023.
For comparison, Disney reported in September that the animated film “Inside Out 2” accrued 30.5 million views in its first five days on Disney+. “Deadpool & Wolverine” debuted in theaters in July 2024.
The film not only marked Ryan Reynolds’ and Deadpool’s entry in to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also saw Hugh Jackman reprise the role of Wolverine after saying farewell to the character in “Logan” in 2017.
