The broadcaster is donating £1.42 million ($1.6 million) to be split between seven charities linked to the princess, including Centrepoint, the English National Ballet and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. The corporation emphasized that the money is coming from the BBC’s commercial revenue as opposed to license fee funds (which is currently under review by the U.K. government, who have threatened to axe it altogether.) It has aired on NBC since it first launched in 1965.Currently, the show airs daily on NBC while past episodes are available to stream on Peacock.

Peacock subscription as the soap opera is leaving network television.After a 57-year run on NBC, the show will become exclusive to the network’s streaming service, Peacock, effective Sept. 12, the network announced Wednesday.“Days” has been the least-watched soap opera compared to other network’s shows for years, Vulture reported.

The series is based on the Tom Wolfe novel of the same name. Variety exclusively reported the show had received a straight-to-series order at the streamer in November 2021.
