Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek and his wife have suffered their second heartbreaking miscarriage in less than a year.

The actor, 43, and his wife Kimberly had been keeping their pregnancy a secret after going through a miscarriage in November, only for it to tragically happen again.

The couple, who share five children, announced the sad news today. James took to Instagram today to share their heartbreaking story.

He wrote: "After suffering a brutal, very public miscarriage last November, we were overjoyed to learn we were pregnant. This time, we kept the news to ourselves.
