David Silva reckons his toughest game in a Manchester City shirt came six years ago. City's Spanish playmaker is approaching the end of a decade in English football, with his contract up at the Etihad this summer when he is expected to move on.
Silva has played for three managers in that time and been a part of four title-winning teams although the closest the club has come to Champions League glory in that time has been the semi-finals in 2016, Manuel Pellegrini's last year in charge of the club.
It was a game during Pellegrini's tenure that Silva recalled when asked in a Reddit Ask Me Anything for the toughest game he has played in during his City career, as a season that had promised so much threatened to implode.
