David Silva has penned an emotional message to Manchester City's fans after his decade at the club came to an end. The Spaniard stated at the start of the campaign that this season would be his last in England.

Silva will return to La Liga with Real Sociedad after making over 430 appearances for City, scoring 77 times. During his ten years at the Etihad the 34-year-old won the Premier League on four occasions as well as two FA Cups and five EFL Cups.

Silva's last outing for City was their Champions League reverse against Lyon but he has spoken of his gratitude and joked that he has finally acclimatised to English weather. “The time has arrived.
