The Lions assistant steered his side to a win which moved them ten points clear of potential relegation trouble to heap the worries on the beleaguered Aberdeen, who finished the game with 10 men.
It was the ideal pick-me-up for Martindale who was hospitalised with kidney stones on Friday and Bartley delivered a get well soon message as well with an added bonus of a Livingston victory which all but secured Premiership football for next season.
