However, when speaking to BBC Sportsound Martindale agreed with rival gaffer Gerrard that his side were fortunate to avoid punishment from Beaton.

He said: "I think we got a wee bit lucky in the first half, I think it was a penalty looking at it back. We get a wee bit lucky in the first half with Rangers not getting the penalty to be honest."We have a few chances ourselves.
