In a new interview after the series finale, David shared if there were ever any thoughts to have his character killed off at any point during the show’s run. Personally, for me to put the character in that situation, I didn’t feel that it made sense. I think it would be more awkward and a little bit more fish out of water,” David told Variety. “I mean, Master Chief wouldn’t really be a fish out of water, but for that situation it’d be boring.
