Dara O’Briain has acknowledged his privilege after comparing his own experience of accidentally using a counterfeit note to that of George Floyd.

Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, was last week arrested in Minneapolis after being accused of using a counterfeit note to buy cigarettes at Cup Foods.

During his arrest, a white police officer named Derek Chauvin pressed his knee into Floyd’s neck for over eight minutes. Floyd died shortly afterwards.

Mock The Week star Dara tweeted: ‘Just found out that George Floyd was originally stopped by the police because he handed over a counterfeit note in a  shop.
