Danny Wilson has revealed he didn't want to leave Rangers to start a new life in America. The defender departed for the MLS in January 2018 despite expecting to sign a new deal at Ibrox.
And the former Hearts and Liverpool man admits he enjoyed the "intensity" of life in Govan and expected to stay when Graeme Murty was left in charge until the end of that season in late 2017.By January though, things had changed and the defender was on his way across the Atlantic ocean.
He told the Mail on Sunday : "To be honest, I always enjoyed the intensity of Rangers, everything that came with it. Aye, we weren't having a great time but I didn't want to leave. "The people in charge at the time thought otherwise.
